Central Foods backs National Doughnut Week 2017 with doughnut deal

Frozen food distributor Central Foods is supporting National Doughnut Week 2017, which is raising funds for The Children’s Trust - the UK’s leading charity for youngsters with brain injury.

For every case of KaterBake Baked Jam Doughnuts ordered by wholesalers during the special fundraising week (6th to 13th May 2017), the company will donate 50p to the good cause.

Each KaterBake Baked Jam Doughnut is approximately 28% lower in fat and, at 48g, is approximately half the size of a standard doughnut, meaning it’s perfect for foodservice operators keen to serve customers an ideal guilt-free treat.

And the doughnuts go down well with both adults and children!

“National Doughnut Week has been running for more than 25 years now and last year raised £22,783 with the help of bakers, shops and businesses,” said Central Foods managing director Gordon Lauder.

“Central Foods is delighted to be involved this year and we hope, with the support of our foodservice customers, that we can help to swell the charity’s coffers and enable The Children’s Trust to continue with its valuable rehabilitation services for children and young people with a brain injury.”

For frozen food wholesalers wishing to place their doughnut orders, please contact Central Foods on 01604 878 280 and help us support The Children’s Trust during National Doughnut Week.
