Central Foods marks ten years of supplying gluten-free products to foodservice customers

It’s ten years since frozen food distributor Central Foods began working with Coeliac UK as part of the company’s pledge to source and supply free-from foods for the foodservice market.
In that time, Central Foods has developed and expanded its range of frozen gluten-free products available to caterers and now offers a comprehensive selection of delicious gluten-free items for all types of catering operations.
One of its most recent launches is the Golden Valley Foods gluten-free range of chicken products, featuring chunks, goujons, Southern fried goujons and chicken fillets-Italiano, a unique and delicious centre-of-the-plate item that will guarantee repeat custom! All are made from 100% chicken breast meat, are moist and tasty, and can be deep fried, oven baked or cooked in a combi oven from frozen in minutes – providing something that’s perfect for all customers, not just those looking for gluten-free options.
Main course or centre-of-the-plate savoury gluten-free ready-prepared options are ideal for caterers with limited prep areas in the kitchen or who want the convenience and reassurance of serving fully-finished products. With this in mind, Central Foods has also launched two gluten-free and vegan dishes: Cajun Spiced Sweet Potato Roulades and Cauliflower and Lentil Dhal Bundts. These incredibly tasty products are both supplied with portions individually wrapped to ensure integrity and avoid wastage; just remove what is required from the freezer, cook and serve.
If you’re looking for stunning desserts and want to avoid menu proliferation, Central Foods has the solution. The company offers a range of delicious desserts that are gluten free, including its new vegetarian and gluten-free Menuserve Ruby Chocolate and Raspberry Cheesecake launching this summer. Other options include the Menuserve New York Style Baked Cheesecake and the Menuserve Baked Chocolate and Cherry Cheesecake - both gluten-free and vegan friendly. Caterers can also be reassured all Menuserve cheesecakes already meet PHE’s 2020 sugar guidelines.
