A trio of new plant-based cakes from We Love Cake for Veganuary 2022
Innovative family bakers Bells of Lazonby are launching three We Love Cake brand plant-based lines into UK Foodservice to mark Veganuary 2022.
The new lines consist of two indulgent tarts: When life gives you ‘Lemon tart’ and Caramelicious ‘Salted Caramel and Chocolate tart’, along with an addition to their classic on-the-go cake slice range with an all-time favourite, ‘Caramel Shortbread’.
All three lines are vegan, gluten, wheat and milk free.
The range is all individually wrapped with allergens and ingredients fully declared on the back of pack to help caterers comply with Natasha’s Law.
The We Love Cake brand is known for mixing nostalgic classics with cutting edge food innovation.
We Love Cake Head of Brand and Marketing, Josh Boydell-Smith, said: “As well as perfect for food-to-go, we see these freeze-thaw tarts also providing options to cafe, in-store and restaurant operators looking for ready-to-plate and serve desserts.
“They may be free-from allergens but there’s no compromise on taste and these products are truly delicious.
“This new range is another opportunity to challenge pre-conceptions around free-from bakery."
He added: “Extending our portfolio into new and exciting alternative serving occasions gives end-users the ability to offer tasty gluten-free versions wherever they are needed. These are so good they can be enjoyed by anyone."
The new lines are registered by the Vegan Society and certified by Coeliac UK as suitable for those with coeliac disease.
Made in Lazonby on the edge of the Lake District (Cumbria), all We Love Cake products are baked in small batches by skilled bakers and hand-finished. The bakery strives to maintain freshness without losing its small batch quality.
