WE LOVE CAKE LAUNCHES INTO CENTRAL FOODS WITH SINGLE SERVE FREE-FROM SLICES

Bells of Lazonby has launched ‘single serve’ We Love Cake portions into Central Foods – expanding its foodservice presence with a new range of individually wrapped cake slices designed for the out-of-home sector.

Produced by the family-run bakery – which this year celebrates 80 years in business – the single-serve slices have been developed to meet operator demand for convenient, pre-portioned sweet treats that deliver on both inclusivity and ease of service.

Available in Chocolate Orange and Raspberry Ripple, the slices are gluten, wheat and milk free, offering operators a simple way to cater for a broader range of dietary requirements without adding complexity to menus.

The individually wrapped format also supports grab-and-go and impulse-led occasions, particularly in high-footfall environments where speed and consistency are key.

The launch gives Central Foods’ end-user customer base, spanning pubs, cafés, garden centres and contract caterers, access to a ready-to-serve free-from option that requires no preparation and helps minimise waste.

The move marks a strategic step for We Love Cake as it continues to grow its footprint within foodservice, leveraging Central Foods’ nationwide distribution network to drive availability across the wholesale network.

We Love Cake is the free-from brand from Bells of Lazonby, a Cumbrian bakery with heritage dating back to 1946. Manufactured in a dedicated free-from facility, the range is gluten, wheat and milk free and is supplied across both retail and foodservice channels in the UK.
